Jesse Phillips
Lead Pastor
Jesse Phillips serves Redeemer Church in preaching, leading worship, and youth ministry. He works in IT and is actively involved in the community.
Jesse and Rebekah have four children, all of whom love sports, music, and serving the church together. Jesse has served in ministry for 18 years, largely as a bi-vocational pastor, since he graduated from the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s college in 2007. He has ministered in a variety of capacities in youth ministry, international missions, conflict resolution, and worship leadership.
Jesse’s passion is seeing one generation commend God’s works to another (Psalm 145) and seeing the Gospel of Jesus Christ spread throughout the world.
Benny Phillips
Pastor
Benny Phillips and his wife, Sheree, grew up in the suburbs of Washington, DC. They were high school sweethearts who married in 1973. After leading a successful Youth Ministry called Saturday Night Alive, Benny founded Fairfax Covenant Church, one of the early churches that formed Sovereign Grace Ministries. After serving there for 20 years, the family moved to Orlando in 2000, where he has served on the pastoral team at Metro Life Church in Casselberry.
In late 2011, the pastors of Metro decided to send a team of people with Benny to start Redeemer Church of Lake Nona. Benny brings not only 40 years of pastoral ministry to this new church but also his wife of 50 years, seven children, and twenty grandchildren.
